Remaking the Commons: Forming a Moral Imagination for Possession and Philanthropy in Place
April 11 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
At its core, philanthropy is about relationships, but in our increasingly polarized and disconnected world, how do we form these relationships and develop a generosity of spirit?
Join Lake Institute on Faith & Giving, a part of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, for the 20th Annual Thomas H. Lake Lecture. This year’s lecture is in partnership with Spirit & Place as part of their Big Tent Talks series.
This year’s Lake Lecturer, Dr. Jennings, the Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Theology and Africana Studies at Yale University Divinity School, will explore how a faithful practice of giving might build new realities of community in our towns and cities.
This event is free and open to the public on Friday, April 11, at 4 p.m. Attend in person at Witherspoon Presbyterian Church (3535 W Kessler Blvd N Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46222) or online.
Registration is required to attend online and in person.
