Remaking the Commons: Forming a Moral Imagination for Possession and Philanthropy in Place

April 11 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

At its core, philanthropy is about relationships, but in our increasingly polarized and disconnected world, how do we form these relationships and develop a generosity of spirit?

Join Lake Institute on Faith & Giving, a part of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, for the 20th Annual Thomas H. Lake Lecture. This year-™s lecture is in partnership with Spirit & Place as part of their Big Tent Talks series.

This year-™s Lake Lecturer, Dr. Jennings, the Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Theology and Africana Studies at Yale University Divinity School, will explore how a faithful practice of giving might build new realities of community in our towns and cities.

This event is free and open to the public on Friday, April 11, at 4 p.m. Attend in person at Witherspoon Presbyterian Church (3535 W Kessler Blvd N Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46222) or online.

Registration is required to attend online and in person.
