Exploring Individuals’ Religious Beliefs and Behaviors

An individual-™s religiosity is a multi-dimensional concept that consists of behaviors, experience, beliefs, and traditions. A person who believes in God may not attend religious services -“ are they religious? What about a person who attends services without believing in God? This module will use survey data from the Association of Religion Data Archives to explore different facets of individuals-™ religiosity.

The ARDA Lesson Plans integrate content from the ARDA and other sources into teachable units. The lessons are designed for courses in a wide range of disciplines, including history, political science, psychology, religious studies, and sociology.
