Exploring Religion and Religious Freedom in Nations (Jr/Sr High School Module)

Collecting reliable data on international religion can be incredibly hard. Surveys are limited by the difficulties of translating questions into multiple languages and in creating questions that make sense to people across different cultures and religious traditions. Despite these challenges, there are some sources of information that contain reliable data on international religion. For example, The Association of Religion Data Archives (ARDA) contains a wide variety of data that includes international data on religion, and it is constantly being updated as new sources become available. This learning module will introduce you to some of these resources and show you how they can be used.

The ARDA Lesson Plans integrate content from the ARDA and other sources into teachable units. The lessons are designed for courses in a wide range of disciplines, including history, political science, psychology, religious studies, and sociology. This assignment was created for the Association of Religion Data Archives.

Created for Junior and Senior High School Students.
