Ghosts, UFOs, and Other Paranormal Beliefs (Jr/Sr High School Module)

When we think of religious beliefs, generally something “traditional” comes to mind, like faith in a god or belief in an afterlife. However, many people in the United States hold supernatural or paranormal beliefs that may not fit into tidy conceptualizations of religion. This learning module will utilize survey data to examine some of these paranormal beliefs, who believes them, and why.

The ARDA Lesson Plans integrate content from the ARDA and other sources into teachable units. The lessons are designed for courses in a wide range of disciplines, including history, political science, psychology, religious studies, and sociology. This assignment was created for the Association of Religion Data Archives.

Created for Junior and Senior High School Students.
