Politics, Social Issues, Gender, Family, and Religion

The goal of this learning module is to utilize the 2022 General Social Survey to explore the relationship between religion and various social issues with specific survey questions on political identity, voting, support for welfare and legalizing marijuana, positions on same sex-marriages, abortion, views on same sex-marriages, the ideal number of children per family, and marital happiness.

The ARDA Lesson Plans integrate content from the ARDA and other sources into teachable units. The lessons are designed for courses in a wide range of disciplines, including history, political science, psychology, religious studies, and sociology. This assignment was created for the Association of Religion Data Archives.
